World-LEVEL prayer news
From Dr. Ben Jennings
**Weeks of May 06 and 13, 2012
“Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him for His excellent greatness!”
PARAGUAY. Luis and son, Andrew, hosted an evangelistic campaign in two cities April 23-28, 2012. Their efforts reached every sector of society from young people to the National Congress. More than 80,000 people attended the final event on Saturday. Well over 12,000 people made a decision for Christ. (ANS)
JAPAN. Jesus Net Japan, a Japan-based internet evangelism ministry, has crafted a series of web sites to help meet massive needs of seekers who want to know about God. Japanese Christians are connecting these seekers to strong local churches. (CCC)
WORLD. “More than anytime in history, God is establishing His house as a ‘House of Prayer’ that reaches all nations of the earth. Perpetual prayer that empowers ministry of the Word is the seedbed by which the missions movement of today is flourishing.” (Missionary Church)
BRING GOD’S FULNESS INTO THESE CRISES WITH YOUR PRAYERS:
GREECE. The national religion of Greece has long resisted the Gospel. Ask God to transform the challenge of current financial emergency into an openness of the people to call on Jesus for His saving grace! (CCC)
BURMA. (Myanmar)...Burma Army soldiers continue to attack civilian villages, often occupying and looting the villages afterwards and forcing villagers to flee. There are multiple reports of extrajudicial killing, imprisonment and torture. Pray salvation for 50,000 internally displaced people who are living in camps on the border, with thousands more hiding in the jungle. (Free Burma Rangers)
AFRICA. Security is deteriorating rapidly for Christians along Africa’s notorious ethnic-religious fault line: roughly between the 5 to 10 degrees north parallels. Seek God to move mightily among these desperate people, unable to return home because homes and farms are occupied by radical militants. (RLPB)
SYRIA. Time is running out in Syria. Pray for great grace and power in witness for Jesus among the few Christian believers who still live there. Pray for a heaven-sent ingathering of precious souls! (WEA-RLC)
