GIVE THANKS TO GOD FOR HIS MIGHTY ACTS!
*USA. Thursday, February 25, Christian students on 190 college campuses participated in the first Collegiate Day of Prayer in 100 years across the USA. The last such observance occurred in 1909. (Collegiate Day of Prayer)
*HAITI. "The outpouring of generosity and support response has been incredibly encouraging for our staff on the front lines. Remember the children of Haiti as we move into the (next) month." (World Vision)
*CYPRUS. Sat-7 "(television) is having an amazing impact on MILLIONS of people, in a time and a part of the world where most other forms of Christian witness have been largely extinguished or driven underground! (Sat-7)
WE ASK YOUR PRAYERS THIS WEEK FOR:
IRAQ. "Iraq's indigenous...Christians are being killed or else driven from their homeland. Please pray for our traumatized, threatened fellow-believers in Iraq." (RLPB)
INDIA. "As those at the very top of the Hindu caste system, powerful Brahmins have the most to lose from any spread of Christian (social equality). So they are compelled to fight Christianity." Pray that the Holy Spirit will transform and humble their hearts, and bring them to faith in Christ Jesus. (RLPB)
MALDIVE ISLANDS. Local analysts consider radicalism as one of the greatest challenges facing the Maldives today. Under the laws of the ...government, all citizens must be Muslim and the practice of any religion except Islam is prohibited. Pray for the few Maldivian believers who must practice their faith in secret. (Source unclear)
